Oil Interceptors
Current government environmental standards and liability issues have increased the specifications for stormwater systems. AE Concrete believes in helping care for the environment through our rigorous manufacturing process as well as using precast concrete products which are environmentally conscious choices for infrastructure projects. We want to not only meet the bar we want to exceed it.
What is an oil interceptor?
Used in service stations, parking garages, and industrial plants where discharged water contains oil and sediment. Interceptor collects oil and conveniently permits the collected oil to be drained to a storage tank by means of an adjustable gravity draw-off connection. Sediment and chips are collected in sediment bucket and should be periodically removed. Interceptors should not be located directly in traffic areas. If required, specify extra heavy duty traffic cover.
Why AE Concrete’s Oil Interceptors?
Providing oil interceptors in standard sizes to address flow characteristics and design parameters of varying project designs, AE Concrete has focused on providing environmentally conscious, affordable, and maintainable solutions to the waste water engineering community. Collaborating with some of the foremost precast engineering teams in BC, AE Concrete has designed and provides state of the art technology that can be installed in a standard oil interceptor chambers to facilitate high volumes of oil particle removal.
AE Concrete standard oil interceptor chambers have the provision for the inclusion of coalescing media during the initial installation or post installation at any time if specifications change or it becomes a requirement due to changing environmental standards.
Cast in our environmentally controlled production facility, we utilize high strength self compacting concrete with updated steel forms to produce the highest quality products. Oil interceptors are of very high quality and dense concrete walls to insure a watertight chamber. Our interceptors are designed for minimum H20 traffic loads in situations where vehicle traffic occurs. Our oil interceptor can be provided with manhole style castings or hatches if required.
