Whether you need an EV charging station pad, a set of wall panels, a boat ramp, a custom vault, or a structure that does not have a name yet because nobody has built it before, our custom work team treats your specifications as the starting point, not a limitation we work around. For more than 50 years, our team at AE Concrete has been designing and manufacturing precast concrete for civil and industrial clients across the Pacific Northwest, and custom work has been part of that history from the start, not a side offering added later.

A few examples give a better sense of what custom work means to us than a general description ever could. We designed and supplied electrical vaults for BC Hydro’s Victoria street vault program with BCTC, built utility buildings for a project in North Vancouver, and manufactured pipe weights for JJM Construction’s work at the Giant Mine site. Custom work only holds up if the plant behind it does. Our Agassiz facility is certified under CPCQA, CPCI, CSA, COR, and CWB, the certifications that utilities, municipalities, and general contractors look for when a precast piece has to meet a defined engineering standard rather than a general one. That certification sits on top of more than 50 years of manufacturing history and an in-house training program that keeps this experience moving through the team rather than walking out the door with any one person.
We build custom pieces the same way we build our standard catalogue: with locally sourced sand, gravel, and stone from our Agassiz plant, and grey-water recycling in our batching process. A custom order is not a departure from how we manufacture responsibly.
Anything within our civil and industrial product range can be built to custom specifications, including vaults, pads, wall panels, boat ramps, box culverts, headwalls, trenches, utility buildings, counterweights, and bollards. If your project does not fit neatly into one of these categories, tell us what it needs to do and we will work from there.
Timelines depend on the complexity of the design, the engineering review required, and current production capacity at our Agassiz plant. The design and engineering proposal stage is where we set expectations together, so you know what to plan for before manufacturing starts.
Yes. Our in-house team works through load requirements, reinforcement, and connection details as part of the design proposal, and can work alongside an engineer of record or a municipal specification where one applies.
The more specific you can be about load requirements, site access, dimensions, and any governing specification, whether municipal, utility, or engineering, the faster we can put together options. If you only have a rough idea of what you need, that is a fine place to start too.
Yes. Our certified vaults and structures are specified and used by utilities and municipal authorities across the Pacific Northwest, and we build to the specifications those bodies set out.
Every piece we manufacture, standard or custom, is cast and cured at our Agassiz plant before it reaches your site, so your crew is setting a finished product rather than waiting on concrete to cure in place. We handle design, manufacturing, and delivery; setting the piece on site is typically the contractor’s job.
